I've been wrestling all my life. I believe that wrestling is something that men are wired to do--it's in our DNA. And it's much more than just a sport--it's a means through which you can transform yourself, and to feel alive instead of walking numbly through your life. Engaging in this ancient sport gives you a forum in which to reconnect with your primal nature by getting out of your head and getting on to the mat.
As I see it, submission wrestling serves as a kind of therapy that helps men of all ages and backgrounds face their fears, their demons, and their inner obstacles—not through endless talking and mental processing, but through simple, one-on-one, mutually agreed upon combat.
Sometimes words aren’t enough. Sometimes you just have to take it to the mat.
